COMPASS is looking for contributors to the annual guide to social work and social care.

As the largest publication in social work and social care, we are looking for articles to keep our readers informed with the most current information and opinions from professionals in the sector.

What you could write about


	Compass: the annual guide is divided into four main sections

	Social work and social care now A round-up of the major organisations who shape the sector view the past year, the current position of the profession, and their visions for the future. Employer Profiles Information from the most pro-active employers on how they are delivering positive services and supporting practice. Education and training Articles outlining ways into social work and social care and the funding issues involved, as well as looking at how current professionals can develop their careers. Working life Our largest section incorporating professional career support issues, ongoing training and different career pathways and features on working with Children, Young People and Families or in Adult Care.

Suggested topics for editorial include:

Articles highlighting an area of good
practice within your organisation or in a
specific department.

Articles offering an opinion regarding current legislation and sector issues.

Information about how you as an employer have developed services to encourage innovative practice.

Case studies or features that showcase
particular projects.

‘Just one question’ - a senior member of your organisation answering a question on policy, or a factual point or information about future developments in social work and social care.

Story so far - A look at specific social work and social care professionals and how their careers and working life have progressed.
