Collaborating to Strengthen Domestic Abuse Support and Intervention
We understand the immense challenges that public sector decision-makers face in addressing domestic abuse. With funding constraints, limited resources, and extensive waiting lists for those seeking help, the obstacles are significant. These are challenges we face as well, which drives us to find cost-effective, impactful solutions.
Who Are We?
Domestic Abuse Experts from MyCWA, - an award-winning, nationally recognised charity which has been supporting families and individuals impacted by domestic abuse since 1977. We believe domestic abuse is everyone’s responsibility, and that by using proven interventions, we can tackle the root causes of abuse and create a safer future for everyone.
Domestic Abuse Experts provide dedicated training and consultancy services, developed with a whole-family focus that prioritises the safety of adult victims and children while holding perpetrators accountable. Our team provides a comprehensive programme of practice-focused and trauma-informed training for all professionals, all sectors. In addition to specialist courses, we offer bespoke training solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of any organisation.
Our training is interactive and empowers participants to apply their knowledge effectively in real-world situations. Whether it’s a foundational course on “Understanding & Responding to Domestic Abuse” or an advanced programme focused on “Behaviour Change for Perpetrators,” our expert training team is prepared to support your staff in enhancing their skills and knowledge.
In addition, we have developed online recovery tools and training focused on inclusive approaches, including programmes specifically designed to better engage trans and non-binary individuals, to create a safer and more responsive environment for all.
